Businesses, attractions, exhibitions, treats, technological news and raising important issues about modern tourism. These are the keywords that briefly describe ITB Berlin 2017. Of, course, Tauri Travel could not miss the opportunity to take part in this event: ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin) is the largest in the world cyclical tourism fair event. In this article, I want to share with you my experience regarding this trade fair.
ITB Berlin 2017
During ITB, I was mainly focused on South America section as this is a continent where our tours will take place soon. I’ve visited stands from almost all countries from SA including Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. I also could not resist meeting business representatives from Mexico, Guatemala and Panama. My impressions? Well, that was wonderful to meet so many kind people from around the world and exchange experience with them. I gained lots of valuable contacts which mean that Tauri Travel’s offer is likely to expand soon.

Although due to the nature of my business I’ve focused on South America section, on ITB Berlin there were stands from around the world. Fans of Asian, African or Australian cultures also would not be disappointed. During the fairs, you could immerse yourself in such diverse environment for many hours. Among the attractions, visitors had the opportunity to see traditional customs from many countries as well as to try to experience Virtual Reality or get a massage. On ITB Berlin, for the first time in my life, I played VR, and I have to admit that it was more realistic than I expected. I felt like the scenery which surrounded me in the video was authentic. To the extent that during the boat ride I experienced a kind of seasickness. 🙂 Definitely, recommend it!
Is it worth to visit ITB Berlin in 2018?
Regardless of whether you own a business or you are just a tourism fan, I recommend this event. 🙂 You can become up-to-date with travel news, try delicious cuisine from the countries you want, talk with experienced travellers and, in general, have a lot of fun. On the fairs, you can take part in the number of conventions. This year the categories of the topics included, for instance, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), etravel World, Wellness, Marketing and Hospitality. Among speakers, you could listen Wolfgang Aschauer from Salzburg University, Eberhard Brandes from WWF Germany or Michael Cramer from European Commission. I hope that next year the event will keep its standard. It is very likely that Tauri Travel’s team will show up again. So, to sum up, it is worth to visit ITB Berlin.
